Canoe Canadian (Wood) Handmade Strip Canoe, Solo Canoe, 

A Canadian strip canoe, 12 1/2 ft long and 35kg. Designed for a solo paddler or a parents and child. Its small enough that it can also be used with a kayak paddle.For context, I work as a traditional furniture maker at Westonbirt arboretum and I built this as a project for myself during lockdown. However I am moving to Manchester soon and don't want to see it sat in a shed. It is my first canoe build so on close inspection it isn't as neat as I would have liked but not to boast its paddles amazingly well for its small size.The canoe is made from larch and Ipy for the thwarts and gunnels.

It has two layers of fiberglass on the base and ends and has been finished with a yatch varnish which i will sand off and reapply just before its sold.I have paddled the Serven and Wye on it so it has a few scratches from use, none of which are close to affecting the wood and should come out when in reapply the yatch varnish.I also have canoe wheels and straps that your also welcome too.Feel free to ask me any questions,
