Grumman 17 Ft Canoe $500 "used" $1362 New On Amazon

One owner. Purchased new in 1972; I believe the aluminum was of a thicker guage from what I read on the internet. Used as a family craft for several years. Has not seen any water except rain for last 20+ years; always hoping to get it out again, but time marches on. I used to be able to pick this up and "roll" it onto my shoulders and walk off with it---total weight was 75 pounds; but had to have the wife help me locate it to get these shots.

Must not be the same guy I used to be. Never wrecked; not damaged in any way. As you can see from the photoes it still has part of the skid residtant covering on the floor. Used it mostly on camping trips to Dale Hollow reservoir in Tennessee/Kentucky when we went on our annual camping vacation. You might make note of the "keel" that is shown on photos 6 and 7.

That helps with cross winds when used on lakes; does little but add stiffening on rivers. It is about 1 inch in heighth. Have a small 1 hp outboard that we used toward the end of our trips to help with the paddling. Will be listing it seperately after I assure myself it is still in working order, after sitting for 20 odd years.Also have a car top carrier that fits on top of a car; the weight is carried by the rain gutters on the car as well as attaching to the car. Have driven well over 10,000 miles with it strapped to the top of my car at highway speeds withour any trouble what so ever.
