Grumman Aluminium Canoe G-1850C Marathon 18ft Long ~ 3/4 Person ~ Paddles & Seat

Hello, For sale one used Grumman aluminium canoe, also know as marathon canoes.This is the very hard to find in the UK, 18ft long model. For those in the know this is the same size Grumman that was used in the film deliverance. This one comes with a removable fibreglass seat and several paddles. It will easily seat two adults and two children or three adults. It a great piece of kit that is really durable but also light enough for two (or one strong person) to portage.

It has some cool stickers that I will leave on the canoe, up to you if you keep them. The serial number indicates this canoe was made in July 1998. I would say it's in good condition for its age and how many rivers it has travelled. But it isn't without its faults, so I will list what I have seen today.There is a rivet missing below the waterline hence the duck tape. This repair has worked well for years so I never got around to fixing it.

It also has a crack in a couple of the ribs (see last pic) they were like this when I bought it over fifteen years and haven't got any worse in this time. However you could get these welded if you wanted. It has a few dents and many scratches from use but nothing major and no creases. The best thing to do if you're serious about buying one is to do a little research and then come and have a look at it.
