Fiberglass New River Canoe 14' Paddle Ready In Portland, Or

A very nice 14 foot New River fiberglass canoe in paddle ready condition. It is very stable and behaves remarkably well in choppy water. A lightweight, reasonable size canoe that is easy to transport, carry and handle, ideal for beginners, great for day trips and shorter overnights. Included are two comfortable custom made fitted closed cell foam seats pads. Length: 13ft 10in Max Width: 33in Used on flat water only, it is in excellent condition.

It has never needed any major repairs, only some gel coat touch-up, mostly on the keel. It has normal use paint scratches, but nothing penetrating or otherwise worrisome. One of the plastic deck plates (stern tip cover) is chipped, but it is purely cosmetic. This is about the lightest solid body canoe you can get without spending thousands on Kevlar. It is very durable and straightforward to repair if needed.

Surprisingly fast for such a small boat, it is a pleasure to paddle even on longer distance trips. It tracks well (due to the triple keel design) while being easy to maneuver. Designed for 2 paddlers, we have on several occasions carried an adult third passenger without any issues. Local pickup in Portland, Oregon only (Rock Creek). No paddles, car top carrier or attachment straps are included.
