Ally Canoe

This is a collapsible Ally 15 DR Canoe from Bergen’s Norway. These are highly sought after as a packable expedition canoe. This is the smallest ‘Down River’ model at @15ft. Will accommodate 2 paddlers and gear and performs well in flat water and moderate white water. Perfect for a trip to France or Scandinavia, or just to use in the uk if storage space is limited.

Also Included is a full spray cover with all 3 decks (the center opening in the spray cover is for gear, not a third paddler). Plus a full expedition repair kit, with spare connectors, glue, patches etc. The canoe is in good condition, and has had little use over the last 7 years (was purchased for a specific purpose). There are a few minor marks on the base, but nothing that penetrates the fabric, and a very slight bend in one frame spreader (which doesn’t affect the shape). Mostly used on flat water, and paddles very well, not dissimilar to a hardshell of same dimensions.

Also included is the rucksack carry bag, there is a bit of wear to this. Packed up in the bag the boat is transportable, and it’s possible take on public transport or in a taxi etc, but the size is a little bit unwieldy. When put together as a boat then it is very light and easy to portage. Total new retail price for all this would be in the order of £1.5k. A good feature of these boats is that most, if not all, components are available from direct Bergen’s online, and some other retailers, so should anything break it can replaced, even the skin. So it should be possible to keep one these going indefinitely. I’m selling as I no longer need this boat. Viewing recommended. Collection only in person.
