Wooden canoe in need of restoration. It is a 17 foot long, Katahdin Style, type A, Kennebec Boat & Canoe, canoe from Waterville, Maine.It was made in 1926. It has a serial number 18878. The craftsmen's names are listed on a historic ledger. Kennebec with serial number 18878 is a 17 foot long Katahdin model type A as shown on page 167 of volume three in the Kennebec Ledgers.

It hasn't been used in over 10 years, it has been stored outside. We think it still floats. The wood inside is still beautiful. The seats are still quite nice. See photos for details and condition.

We have a couple more photos. This is the perfect restoration project for a boat maker. Local pick-up only in Pennsylvania. Susquehanna County in the 18801 zip code area.
