B N Morris 1908  Model A Type Iii Reproduction Canoe

Restoration just completed – Feb 27th 2018.Canoe Make and Model: 2003 Northwoods Canoe – 1908 B. N. Morris ReproductionCanoe Length: 17’Wood / Canvas canoe built by Rollin Thurlow and Peter Wallace in 2003. See photo of signed hull. White to water line with red to gunwales, Mahogany decks and gunwales. Hand caned seats.

76 lbs. Restoration included replacement of a warped (not broken) piece of planking under deck area, a broken combing, new canvas and paint and complete stripping of decks, inwales and outwales and 5 coats of UV SPAR varnish applied. Inside hull (ribs and planks) also give 4 more coats of fresh varnish.I have restored Old Town canoes, American Trader canoes, privately built canoes and I have also built both cedar strip and plank and canvas from the form up but I have never worked on such a professionally built canoe! A real pleasure to restore and to learn from the process.I can deliver to within 200 miles of Pottstown PA free of charge but added cost if greater distance. Feel free to ask any questions.
