Beautiful Lightweight Handmade Selway Fisher Strip Plank Canadian Canoe 5 Metre

This magnificent example of the Canadian Strip planked Canoe was lovingly hand built by the owner. Unlike many less authentic examples this Selway Fisher designed canoe features stapleless construction with Tumblehome sides. High quality Robins Cedar fast strip was used in the main but it also features one piece ash gunwhales and African Walnut decks. To ensure it's condition remains immaculate 3 coats of Grp were applied to the external areas and two internally before the whole structure received several coats of highest quality varnish. Weighing less than 50 lbs it is incredibly easy to manoevre and has been taken to various venues on the roof of a family estate car.

Although owned for eight years it has only seen sparing use due to work commitments and is being reluctantly offered here due to a house move. Inspection is highly recommended but please do ask any questions and we will try to answer them.
