Hou 15 Canadian Canoe. Private saleThe Hou 15 has been designed with a ‘modern’ canoe style this boat is maximized for efficient paddling and load carrying. Allowing you to carry everything you would need for a family day out, picnic or weekend trip on the water, whilst still allowing you to paddle efficiently and keep the canoe tracking straight whether solo or tandem. A flat, very slightly rounded hull shape provides fantastic initial stability, which in turn gives a confidence that you will struggle to find in many other canoes. At 15 feet the Hou 15 is the ‘optimal length’ for an all round canoe that can be paddled either solo or tandem.

This boat will help you down the lumpy bits of water and take care of you on the flat as well. A all rounder with good tracking and load carrying capacity also allows the Hou 15 to be paddled solo with relative ease from the front seat backwards. Alternatively, fitting a Kneeling Thwart will make solo paddling this canoe a whole lot more comfortable. The Hou 15 is only 32kg and can be easily moved to the waters edge with two people using the fitted wooden carry handles, alternatively just put a Canoe Trolley underneath for maximum ease of portaging. If you are paddling solo the Hou 15 is light enough to be managed from the car to the waters edge without to much difficulty.
