The canoe is constructed from Nova Craft's Tuffstuff. See their website for more details. I chose it for lightness, rigidity, and curved rather than flat hull lines. As a kayak racing paddler, I know that a rigid hull gives a lively feel on the water. This is added to by the hull shape.The boat weighs 19.1kg - about half the weight of plastic canoes.There is built-in buoyancy fore and aft, though it would be wise to add additional buoyancy bags for open water paddling such as estuaries, large lakes and the sea.The painter is included.There is some minor scratching on the hull.I may be able to take the canoe with me from Exeter on one of my regular trips to Tamworth.

This might suit a buyer who lives further up country or can get to the M5 between Exeter and Tamworth.
