Canadian canoe.10 Foot Plywood Stitch and glue.. Condition is "New". I made this canoe as a lockdown project.She is called 'Corona'. It is a 3 plank design for 1 adult or 2 children.construction is from 2x 8x4 sheets of 5.5mm exterior plywood.it has been stitched together with cable ties then epoxy resin fillet joined on the inside with epoxy resin and fibre glass tape external joints.The canoe has had 2 coats of epoxy resin then 5 coats of yacht varnish.A solid ash yoke is fitted with 'hempex' painters bow and stern.Pine gunnels are fitted.This is a light solo canoe made for car roof topping at only 17kg.My son and I tested it out today on the river.It is watertight,strong and handles nicely.This has taken me 5 weeks to build and was a labour of love.its a bit small for my large frame so i plan to sell this one on and make myself a 12 foot one.It fits my 18 year old son perfectly and we have videos of him testing it out.These canoes are not cheap compared to plastic ones and normally over a thousand pounds.Im putting the Corona on auction with a starting price of £599 to sell through so i can start on Corona 2.Happy bidding,its cash on collection in Warrington.any questions message me,cheers Pete.video here ; https://youtu.be/-4c8hjCKq60 ive now fitted an optional outrigger float that gives extra stability should you (me!) need it.
