Canoe - Mobile Adventures Melody 15 Foot Canoe

Mobile Adventures Melody canoe. This is a great workhorse of a boat. The melody is just under 15 foot so it will fit on a car well. It has three seats so you can outfit it out for a full family day out in the lakes. It works well as a double, or even better a single.

I bought it to allow me to develop river skills as part of my coach training, thus the big airbags and keel strips. In the end I moved more into sea kayaking instead so never really got a chance to use it much. It is a well used boat, with plenty of scratches underneath, but it is very tough as it uses a polyethylene sandwich construction. The construction is great if you are learning on rivers and don't want to go to the expense of a roylex boat yet. It is quite a heavy boat around 45kg (inc Airbags and tow lines), this is due to the construction material which gives it its toughness.

It can be used as a family craft (the excuse to buy), and then used for expeditions with your mates, and then river trips to develop your skills. Go on - go for it.
