Cedar Strip Canoe

Elegant handmade 15 foot (4.6 metres) Canadian Cedar Strip Canoe; 3 years in the building and just completed. Oregon red cedar strip hull without nail or staple holes, sitka spruce gunwales, cedar decks, white ash stems, thwart, and seats which are traditionally hand-caned. The hull is reinforced with 4 ounce fibreglass cloth and resin, and the hull and trim are protected by Epiphanes marine UV protective varnish. Designed and built to be quick through the water and lovely to look at.The canoe weighs 26 kilos. Easily transportable on a car roof rack.
