Cedar Strip Canoe, Custom Handbuilt 15' "bob's Special"  

Just in time for Christmas. A special canoe for a special person. This is a cedar strip canoe built by a master woodworker. It is constructed of Western Red Cedar, Red Wood, and Ash on the "Bob's Special" plan noted for stabililty and speed. It is a tandem canoe though handles beautifully single handed.

And though it has no keel, it tracks very well. This plan has a unique blend of characteristics that produce a canoe novice paddlers can enjoy, yet experts can savor. I am including two beautiful paddles made by Grey Owl Paddle Company in Canada and a pair of stands that can be converted to hold the canoe in either an upright or inverted position. Specifications: 15 feet long x 35 inch beam x 14 inches deep at the beamWeight - 57 lbs.fiberglass matt inside and outside satuated in MAS brand epoxy and given 4 coats of EPIFANES marine varnish inside and out hand rubbed to a satin finish. The gunwales, thwarts, deck, seats and paddles are a high gloss .All fasteners and hardware are either brass, bronze, or stainless steel.
