Cedar Wood Canoe

I am selling a professionally made cedar strip, canadian style 16 ft canoe. Made in 2007 at a cost of £1150 it is finished on the outer hull with West's epoxy coated fibreglass & is varnished on the inner face. The hemp seats require some restringing & there are the usual minor scratches on the outer hull. The canoe is watertight, ready to paddle & is very strong. Weight is around 42kg & she will easily take 2 adults plus a bit.

She cuts thru the water like a knife thru soft butter & draws lots of admiring comments. The epoxy has turned slightly opaque in places due to the effects of sunlight, but this does not affect performance & nor does the epoxy appear to have weakened as a result. Indeed, the construction would have been plenty strong enough without the fibreglass covering.
