Featured Refinements: Canadian Canoe
Solid build Canadian style 2 man canoe, with a host of extras, including a new 12v outboard and NEW BATTERY - All you need and ready to go. I bought this canoe with good intentions, but now realise that at 67 years it is too much to handle on and off my roof-rack on my own. I intended to use it for fishing on my local river, but having got all the stuff I need, now need to sell and slim down my ambitions.. The outboard was only bought 2 weeks ago and has been in the water just once. Similarly this sale comes with a brand 82/90 Ah new leisure battery for the outboard and again only used the once - I took the canoe 1.5 miles along the river and then back and when I checked the battery when I got home it was/is still showing FULL charge reading (12.63 on the voltage meter). This sale includes: Coleman RAM X 13 canoe.
It has a number of scrapes and marks, but is very solid and watertight. Watersnake ASP T24 12v Electric outboard with specialist Canoe/Kayak fixing bracket, 2 speed plus reverse. 2 weeks old 12v Leisure battery, 82/90 AH, 2 weeks old - used once excellent charge holding. (Tayna Battery). Also with twin shell carry case and 'pull-push' connectors - see more info below) Two quality wooden oars (that can be joined to form a twin paddle) and 2x plastic oars.
Foldaway anchor (brand new). 2 x life jackets - one adult and one suitable for small adult or teenager. I canoe trolley - used once since purchase. Also, if required, an adopted stand that I used to enable one-man loading onto my car roof rack (one end of the canoe is lifted onto the stand and then the other end lifted onto the car roof. It works !!
(but you need at least average strength as a minimum). All items are shown in the photos. As I intended to use the canoe with the outboard on my own, I adapted the canoe with a strengthening sheet to the outboard fixing point and also by running the battery cables the length of the canoe inside the metal pole that forms part of the canoe structure and using 2x 'pull-push' connectors at each end - to connect the motor at one end and the battery at the other. I also adapted 2x carry cases inside each other - one in plastic and one using a cool bag with a top flap opening. This is designed to keep the battery dry and also supports easy loading and connecting of the battery.
Whilst I am having to give up my new hobby in its current format, I have used all this equipment (except one of the lifejackets) and it all works extremely well. I was particularly impressed with the performance of the outboard and also the battery - which based on my single trip, I am confident will support a VERY lengthy trip with no re-charging. I estimate that all the extras have cost me well over £400, so as a package this is great value. Viewings welcome. Collection only.
