Coleman's Ram-X 16 foot scanoe is a cross between a canoe and a sciff with a flat stern that can accommodate an outboard motor up to 5 hp. It has a capacity of 3 people (660 lbs) but weighs only 94 lbs. VERY stable as it is 40 inches at its widest point. Given the age of these canoes they are built like beasts.

Canoe has no major rust issues and hull is without cracks or leaks. Colemans can hold up to 740 lbs of weight but no more than a total 3 person weight of 660 is recommended. Has 14 inch depth at midship and transon height is about 15 inches. Length given by Coleman was 188 inches. Hull was manufactured in one piece so it was made to flex and be very leak resistant.

It has a double hull and is wider than a conventional canoe and has a flat stern so that a small outboard motor can be mounted if needed, but it is lightweight enough to be portaged or transported on a vehicle roof as opposed to a trailer. Finally the discoloration on the bow is NOT rust but some sort of retardant to prevent rusting as far as I can guess but was there when I inherited the canoe about 15 years ago.
