Gene Jensen Model Wenonah Classic WW1 Solo Racing Canoe

This is the sixteen foot six inch second version that many have called the greatest racing canoe of its time. It has the original seat and factory serial hull ID # along with the "Jensen" logo. It is in need of a total restoration but if you can handle the challenge and want a classic to either show or hopefully put back on the water here it is. The canoe has about a two foot long split or crack to be repaired as pictured and new cedar top rails to be replaced all around. In addition the strut supports are there but need to be refastened.

The canie is very lightweight and it fairly solid except for the repairs needed to make it more rigid. Overall it is intact but unusable in current condition and is being sold in "as is " fair condition as a restoration project no extras just the hull. It was stored in my garage so it is a reasonable candidate for someone who wants to own a very rare canoe of significance and an original innovation of solo racing history. It has good structure juat needs tlc. ***Local Pickup Only - If you are a buyer from another state and can arrange shipping from a local freight company ( possibly Old Dominion Bethpage NY ) near my area then I will work with you to ship as long as the dropoff is close.

I will deliver it there for an extra fee if it needs to be crated or packed but we will discuss that. If you are very close ( within 5 miles ) to my location I can possibly bring it to you.
