Hand Made Wooden Canoe Lapstrake Marine Ply Construction. Very Strong. 12 Feet

I made Seamouse around 10 years ago and have had many adventures with her. Including paddling and camping 60 miles along the Thames, fishing out at sea and even fitting an electric trolling motor for coastal trips (I can throw that in with the sale as well) She is made using Lapstrake construction, 4mm marine ply covered with fibre glass and varnished. (the strongest method of making a wooden canoe) Looks (almost) as good today as when I made her all those years ago - obviously with some adventure related scratches and bumps. She is a very strong boat. A bit heavy (but I can still lift her onto the roof of my car unaided and I'm 55).

You'll feel very safe sitting in her. I used to paddle a mile offshore and along the Cornish coast in her and never had any concerns I don't really want to get rid of Seamouse, but I'm moving house and have no where to keep her. I just hope someone else can enjoy the boat as much as I have. The boat has a water-tight compartment in the bow and a useful bucket storage area to the rear. There's also a sponge seat to go on top of the wooden one.
