I have used this set of canoe carrier brackets one time to transport a canoe back from the factory. The set is in its original box and includes:4 support brackets2 straps for holding canoe down.bow and stern strapsS clips for securing above to car frame.instruction sheet.As the name suggests, the canoe is placed with the gunwales resting on the brackets providing a cushioned platform for the canoe.The brackets are mounted onto your own crossbars that can be square or round and being adjustable they will fit most bar sizes.The brackets can be mounted with the gunwales braced on the inside or the outside.
