Mad River Explorer 16 Foot Fiberglass Hull/kevlar-Reinforced Keel Canoe

This 16' 4" Mad River Explorer canoe has had only one owner since its purchase in 1997. The hull is fiberglass with a Kevlar-reinforced modified "V" heel for excellent handling on lakes. It weighs 72 pounds but can handle up to 1100 pounds loaded! It's great for lake island-hopping or long paddles for remote camping. It is VERY stable and would be a great buy for a young family who wants to get out on the water.

The gunwales are made of ash and the comfy seats are caned. The fiberglass full has normal wear and is somewhat faded but remains in excellent condition. This canoe has been used almost exclusively in fresh water (Adirondack lakes and Rhode Island rivers.) We hate to give it up but we are twenty years older than when we purchased it and we are staying a little closer to shore!
