Mad River Explorer 16 Royalex

Mad River explorer 16, fantastic condition. There are a few small scrapes and scratches and a couple of dents, I expect these happened during storage, other than that the hull and woodwork are immaculate. I bought it off an elderly couple who had bought it new but only used it a couple of times. I took it for a spin once on flatwater, other than that, it's unused. It's always been stored inside, both by me and the previous owners.

I'd intended to use it for poling and tandem, but an injury has stopped me from poling and I rarely paddle tandem. Finding a royalex canoe in this condition is very rare. Very versatile canoe, great for an enthusiast but would also make an excellent stable family canoe. Apparently the best selling canoe that Mad River made, not easy to find since royalex was discontinued and Mad River no longer make canoes.
