The Explorer is made from Mad River's TripleTough construction which consists of a foam core sandwiched between two layers of high density polyethylene. This construction makes the canoe lightweight, stiff and durable.

The Explorer features two comfortable wood/webbed seats, polyethylene decks with moulded carry handles, vinyl gunwales and a carry yoke. The Explorer 14TT is a good choice for those looking for a solo canoe and for those intending to use it on white water while those looking for a higher load capacity to carry extra equipment will be more suited to the 16TT. As a great all round canoe, the Explorer is an ideal choice for commercial use by hire operators and activity centres. If you intend to use the Explorer for white water paddling we recommend that you fit additional buoyancy, either buoyancy wedges or buoyancy bags with a lashing kit to secure them in place.
