MAD RIVER EXPLORER CANOE 16 TT RED (including fittings and buoyancy blocks) The Mad River Explorer is a great canoe with a v-hull aversatile keel line that helps keep a good balance between straight line speedand manoeuvrability. The Explorer is suited to all round use: white water use, lakes, canals and lochs; a great all round canoe. Its very stable and does not feel‘tippy’. The Explorer is made from Mad River's TripleToughconstruction which consists of a foam core sandwiched between two layers ofhigh density polyethylene. This construction makes the canoe relatively lightweight,stiff and durable.

The Explorer features two comfortable wood/webbed seats,polyethylene decks with moulded carry handles, vinyl gunwales and a carry yoke. It will carry two people and all theircamping gear with plenty of room to spare. High capacity, stability and sea worthiness; what more couldyou want? Hull The hull has not been drilled or modified and is as supplied Additional Buoyancy The canoe comes fitted with 2 x Ruk Canoe Buoyancy FoamWedge which cost £120 for the pair. It is held in by stainless steel bridges riveted to the gunwale byspecial wide spreading rivets, specially designed for gunwales.

The braided retaining strap is looped througha 25mm welded stainless steel D-ring which is sewn to a PVC pad which is inturn glued to the hull floor using e-flex epoxy resin (not pvc glue). The hull surface being properly treatedbefore gluing. Condition The canoe has always been stored well supported, andundercover, enclosed in a plastic sheet. It has only been used a handful of times and has only a few superficialscratches. It has mainly been on thecanal never in a stoney river.

It isalmost ‘as new ’and is being sold as it is not being used, and I need thespace.
