This classic Mad River “Explorer” Model with a Kevlar Hull has been completely refurbished. All rails, end caps, caned seats have been replaced and are in excellent condition. The only original part is the carrying thwart which is in excellent condition with a patina that speaks of it’s age. The two Mad River paddles are also in excellent condition.

This is a 16’ Kevlar laminated Mad River “Explorer” Model - one of the true classic models that has passed the test of time. It has been completely refurbished with new hardwood rails, end caps and a new pair of caned seats. Only the carrying thwart is original, but it is in excellent condition and proudly displays the patina it has earned. The hull has received a new surface of quality gel coat. I have lovingly invested over a thousand dollars and scores of hours of careful labor to bring this classic canoe to its present wonderful condition.

It sells with two beautiful Mad River hardwood paddles. Mad River is no longer in business.
