For Mad River's 30th anniversary, the company produced a limited special edition version of the Malecite, their most successful design. These Special Edition boats had Carbon/Kevlar hulls with white gelcoat, ash gunwales with a walnut inlay running the full length, walnut decks, and the third solo seat installed, along with a removable carved cherry yoke. This particular boat was purchased new from Chicagoland Canoe Base, but has literally never hit the water. The boat is in pristine condition, indoor-kept, and doesn't have a scratch on it - it's not "like new" - this special boat is literally brand new. Comparing this to anything built today, the Carbon/Kevlar canoes with wood trim we sell are typically $3300-$3500, new.
