Multifunction Canoe for sailing-padeling + elektro motor. Good condition.. Sunshine. An opportunity to buy an exceptional multi- purposeboat. Age forces me to relinquish my beloved Canoemaran “Sunshine “and offer it for sale. I built“Sunshine” back in 1996 as an alternative to my Tornado beach cat which wasproving to be too demanding for my ageing body.

I wanted something Icould sit in rather than on. “Sunshine” is based on a Canadian canoe. It has composite epoxy/glass hull withLuan ply topsides. Waterproof storage chambers are built into the bow and thestern. It is 5 m.

Long x 90cm. Wide and suitable for two adults plus campinggear. Alternatively, it can be used with a modified electric trollingmotor and a 12-volt battery(Battery not included) fortified with a 50-wattsolar panel it becomes a tranquil motorised canoe able to explore lakes andrivers all day long. With silent electric propulsion I found that I wasable to approach wild animals very close without them being alarmed. In addition, “Sunshine” has a substantial sail area of 9 sq.m.

Making itsuitable for exciting sailing. In this format it is equipped with outriggerfloats in the form of a trimaran (Hence the title “Canoemaran”.) The mast is ahigh-tech rotating wing mast constructed with epoxy/glass. Sails are almostnew, roller furling jib and fully battened main. (Main = circa 7 sq.m. Jib =circa 2sq.m.) Spinnaker with launching chute.

Steering is with foot pedalsleaving hands free for sail handling. (Can be sailed singled handed with ease.)It is fitted with asymmetric lee boards which provide extra windward liftenabling one to sail very close to the wind. Accommodations for helm andpassenger. “Sunshine” is easily driven and was officially recorded at WeymouthSpeedweek (U.K.) sailing at 9knots in just 6 knots of wind. It is easily transported with its own custom-made trailer with German zulassen(250 Kg).

Road ready it is a compact package for winter storage and can beeasily and quickly assembled for sailing by two people in about 40 minutes.
