Nova Craft Prospector 16 In SP3 Canadian Open Canoe

This is my very well loved Nova craft Prospector 16 foot Canadian Open Canoe made in SP3 material with Ash laced seats and aluminum gunwales. SP3 This is the toughest hull in the Nova Craft range but not the lightest! This canoe weights around 40kgs and although it can be transported and handled by one person, I did always by myself , this is best done by two people. This canoe has been upgraded with a kneeling thwart kit (worth £50) for a more stable paddling in white water or rough open water. The hull shows all the signs of the adventures we shared together and all of the scratches are superficial and none penetrated to the inner core of the SP3 structure (please see hull pictures).

Si=b85Cdhrfo-OnYALp The lacing not only give the paddlers an huge number of internal loops to attach gear and buoyancy aids on and as many external ones to attach splash skirts/decks, but also by connecting the lacing to the bow and stern grab loops makes pulling a loaded canoe by a painter line distribute the force throughout the whole hull father than just on the tiny bit of hull the grab loop is looped through.
