Nova Craft Royalex Prospector 15 Canoe

This auction is for a Nova Craft Royalex Prospector 15 Canoe. Purchased from new about ten years ago by a youth group. It has been used four or five times each year since new and it has always been kept inside in a storage unit. The hull is made from Royalex which is lightweight and very tough. The boat can be paddled in tandem or solo using the fitted kneeling thwart.

The Prospector design allows loads of gear to be taken and it handles rough water on lakes and rivers extremely well. The boat is 15' long and comes fitted with two ash seats, an ash kneeling thwart, an ash yoke and two solid buoyancy blocks installed at each end. It also has a mast fitting and mast foot for use with canoe pole sailing rig. Foam kneeling mats have been fitted at the centre. We have fitted a couple of d-rings inside the hull to secure bags.

It does show signs of wear appropriate to its age and has some scratches and dints from rocks where the cream ABS is visible (see photos) but it does not have any holes that go through the hull. The kevlar bang plates have some damage/chips, but still have a lot of life left in them. We have included a pair of paddles so the boat is ready to paddle away.
