Peasemarsh 14' Canadian Canoe

Peasemarsh 14' Canoe. 2 +1 persons or a dog. (used twice) Hand built this year (during lockdown) from peasemarsh plans from 6mm marine ply. (see cert pic) (Unmade kit for this canoe costs 945 without paint and finishes) Carries up to 260kgs so good for day /camping trips. The canoe is constructed using the methods as prescribed in the instructions/plans.

It is fitted with 2 buoyancy chambers each sealed with a hatch for stowage of personal items etc. The rubbing strips and yoke are mahogany. Two seats are fitted but a third could added. There are 7 coats of yacht varnish on the exposed wood with the rest of boat having 3 coats of solvent based undercoat and 3 coats of marine paint to finish. There are 3 runners added to the bottom of the canoe to provide additional protection from rough shore lines and that give better straight line steering when in a crosswind.

Additional stainless steel loops attached to bulkheads for ropes etc. Webbing Straps can be added to these for carrying the canoe too. Canoe supplied with a fitted generic cover. The canoe weighs about 27kgs and can be easily carried by 2 adults, or lifted onto the roof of a van and secured using a couple of ratchet straps. Very stable when being transported at normal motorway speeds too.
