New Improved Kit for 2018 The Peasemarsh 14 Plywood Only Kit You could build this canoe in just a few hours a day for a week or two!! Load (apprx.) 580lbs (263kgs) Height at Bow/Stern 21"/21" (0.53m/0.53m) Height amidships 13" (0.33m) Crew 2 - 3 The DIY open "Canadian" style canoe kit with built in buoyancy fore and aft that can be fitted with small hatches for storage of valuables etc while on the water. This canoe kit is now supplied in Lloyds registered 5 or 6mm Gaboon marine plywood. Epoxy is not supplied with this kit.

Ideal for a solo paddle but will also take 3 adults and some gear for day trip or weekend camp etc or perhaps a day on the water for the kids this kit is built using the "Stitch & Tape" method of construction. All you need to do is join the planks and bottom panel using a simple method we use in most our designs, drill small holes in each hull completed hull panel as per instructions and assemble by "stitching" it all together with the plastic cable ties. Once all the stitches are tight, the hull is aligned and checked before the epoxy (NOT SUPPLIED with this kit) is applied to the inside seams (plank joints). The hull is turned over and the outer seams are taped and saturated with epoxy. Once that job is completed the hull is turned back upright, the bulkheads are glued with epoxy fillets into place and the trim is fitted along with the fore and aft decks.

The inside is then prepared and painted/varnished and the hatches are fitted in their holes. Now the outside of the hull can be prepared and painted or varnished. Once all the painting is done, make or buy a paddle and you're ready for launching. The build takes around 5 - 7 days to complete but has been done in 4 days using fast epoxy. Once complete, you have a brand new canoe and you will have built it!

This Plywood Only Kit consists of all the plank sections cut out including bottom panel, bulkheads and ply for decks with stitch holes drilled ready for assembly. No epoxy or glue is included.

Please note that the 102mm (4") hatch holes are not cut for the Plywood Only Kit unless requested with order Note! Delivery time for Kits is normally 6 - 10 working days from receiving payment (we will confirm with order or contact us). All our kits are normally cut to order on next working day after receipt of payment and despatched the following day (3 days to deliver). However, if we have no plywood in stock, it will take a little longer (up to 10 days to deliver).
