Pelican Explorer 14.6 DLX3 Canoe - very stable - paddling & fishing. I purchased this quality, Canadian made, canoe a few years ago for quiet trips on the Yarra.It is basically in 'as new' condition.It is designed for 3 adults or two adults and two kids.Unlike many canoes the bow and stern seats have backs that provide great support and comfort (the backs fold flat for storage and transport), and the centre seat is effectively an Esky (see the images).There is plenty of storage room and with a carrying capacity of 360kg you can load in the tents and provisions for longer trips.The hull design and the wide beam (970mm) give great stability, yet easy paddling and manoeuvrability. Making an excellent platform for river fishing - the four rod holders ease the waiting - as do the cup-holders.The hull is a single piece moulding in polyethylene (Ram-X) which gives high impact resistance with flexibility and shape memory. So sliding over stones in the shallows or rapids is not a problem.I have included in the sale two Pelican paddles, two adult life jackets and two kids life jackets. None of the lie jackets have ever been in the water.So you have the full kit - just add water and have fun.I have indicated pick-up from Lower Plenty, but am happy to explore other delivery arrangements at the buyers cost.
