 All the dark wood is cherry wood. Solid brass stem bands. Built with very small copper tacks.

 This hand built 5' canoe is made in the same way as the wooden canoes of the past, and include wood ribs, hand nailed using copper tacks, and finished with durable oil finish inside and satin finish outside.. These small canoes were originally made by wood canoe manufacturers as salesman samples. Originals are highly collectible and difficult to come by.
