Story Pedal Kayak With Unique Sail Attachment

Multifunctioning sailing, pedalable and paddlleable hybrid canoe that was a product of Covid Lockdown. The base Story Kayak is a fantastic fishing platform with a paddle and a pedal drive (https://storyoriginal.com/product/story-1-person-inflatable-pedal-kayak/) for handsfree propulsion. I adapted the forward thwart to hold a small furling sail I bought from Star Sails Australia. It is in good codition becasue I have not used it much. Main exception is the steering mechanism was useless so I simplified it with use of cords.

I thought I could create a decent sailboat I could travel with; but whilst a good sailing canoe (stable) it turned out to be a poor sailboat, a heavy Kayak and bigger load than I had hoped. I don't fih either. It works as a pedal kayak great, but not much use in rivers because of the pedal attachement grounding. Needs canals, lakes or the sea, where the sail adds a bit of help to the peddling and the wide plafform is stable enouogh to take a sail! List price of the Kayak alone was £2000, so it has been a costly mistake.

But if you want fishing platform (both hands free to hold rods and very stable), this is a bargain waiting for you.
