'superb' Hand Built Canadian Bespoke Cedar Canoe 15ft 6 Inches {Semi Rocker]

This is a hand built Bespoke canoe of exceptional Quality and precision in construction . Made by one of Britains top renowned Designer makers ,with the finest materials and resins. Described by admirers, as a masterpiece in proportion & Design & a true work of art.[a beautiful piece]It is of a  Semi rocker design type,so  allowing extreme manoeuvrability when paddled solo but still able to track well in a straight line .   After 40 years As a renowned Designer maker of Bespoke one -off's,the last lockdown steared me onto a different future path,I so decided to design & make bespoke hand made one -off Canadian Canoes. Country life have just done a major feature on my new quest in last months issue [October] on their online magazine ,under 'THE FINER THINGS/lifestyles.

My high skills & experience as a Renowned Designer/maker has equipped me very well in making this magnificent Canadian Canoe.The side repeating inlays that run down each side of the canoe & on either side ,are of my own design with repeating Native Indian Wigwams & suns alternating[see images] in Walnut & satinwood.These inlays alone were 2 weeks work, prior to  being incorporated in the construction of the Cedar Hull.The centre inlay of a Compass rose [also made as a separate piece of work ],is in solid Ebony and White Rock Maple and goes through the hull on both sides.[solid]. An imminent editorial feature will be coming up on this actual canoe in a major magazine ,either in the December or January2021,the issue of which unfortunately I am not able to name prior to its publication. This Canoe was 3 months+ in the making using the finest Canadian Cedar.All the Hull Cedar & Ash Gunwalls are full length strips of 16 ft with no joins [all hand worked from solid timbers], so giving the canoe maximum strength, unlike some other canoes which are scarf jointed, and have jointed lengths.The Epoxy resin used on the canoe is the' West system,' recognised as the best in the business, onto 6 oz cloth inside & out with 4 coats chemically bonded between each coat, with the addition of 4-5 coats of Eppifans finest yacht varnish with added UV filters ontop of the 4 coats of Epoxy .This giving a fantastic high gloss finish.The Canoe is amazingly strong, size for size the whole canoe is only 65 lbs in weight.It can be carried on the centre Yoke.on ones shoulders.  The carrying Yoke, is in the centre of the canoe & [made from solid Walnut]. The seats ere made from Solid Ash [Bow & stern],the centre seat for and occasional passenger is of Solid Walnut,with the shoulder Yoke on one rail side of the seat.

All the seats are beautifully hand caned for visual beauty and practicality & lightness in weight,a superb feature of this canoe.& the cane work sealed against water ingress. With no expense spared,I have incorporated two sold Bronze Torpedo  cleats on the Walnut Decks Forward and Aft ,along with two hand spliced ropes at either end, there is a wooden laminated ash & Ball rope arm ,under the forward deck to store away the rope neatly. So to summarise,A phenomenal BESPOKE Solid Cedar/Walnut & Ash Canadian Canoe of exceptional Quality in design and expertise, with unique inlays and superlative fittings. The Paddles are not included in the price, but are cheap & easily purchased for £60-£100 new.This canoe may never be repeated so a One off opportunity.
