Vintage Canadian Fir Trapper's Canoe 'nokomis' Circa 1900'

Welcome to my auction for this amazing piece of history. This is an original Canadian fir trapper's canoe built around 1900 by the now defunct Lakefield Canoe Company. The name 'Nokomis' is believed to be the daughter of the famous Native American Indian Chief 'Hiawatha'. Main dimensions: 14 feet in length, 2 feet 8 inches in overall width. She can carry up to 3 persons.

The main picture was taken around 20 years ago just after she had been renovated by my late father-in-law. She was then used occasionally for outings on the river for a few years and has since been dry stored at his home in Doncaster. Viewing is possible by appointment only as we do not live very close, but I will be very happy to show any interested potential buyers.
