Vintage Wood And Canvas Square Back Freight Canoe

It is just a guess to say this is a Canadian Canoe. It is quite large, 16 ft long and 42 inch wide. I have portaged this alone when I was younger. Canoe has no broken ribs that I see. Seats are great.

I've had a heavy (old) 3 HP motor on it. This canoe was fiber-glassed when I got it ten years ago. It leaked a little then would stop. Rot got to one gunwale, see photo. Damage to other wales has been repaired.

This boat has seen some use judging from the repairs. Must have hauled a lot of hunters and their moose out. I am in Jackson TN. Local pickup only. I can hold it for a few months but it will be outside.
