This is a shell lake (oldtown) canoe. It is 17ft long, has been completely stripped of all varnish and covering. It is in excxellent condition and ready for recovering (or glassing). Note the double planked floor and very unique built up seats. Replaced keel with one inch oak keel and brass stem band All the wood is mahogany (except for ribs and planking which are cedar) traditionally built that way.
