There's an air bag at the front in case of capsizing. Middle seat has hinged lid with storage under, watertight storage compartment for phones and keys etc and cup holders. These square transom canoes can take up to 4hp outboards. We used it with a 2.5hp and we achieved 8mph on the river Trent. Age related marks and scrapes but a truly solid canoe, very comfortable and will include two paddles to get you started.
