The highly-sought Wenonah Canak 16' is no longer in production so jump on this one before it's gone. The Canak 16' is arguably one of the best do-everything canoes ever made. It was rated as the fastest of five pack canoes tested by Canoe and Kayak Magazine. The hull shape is inspired by Wenonah’s most popular solo canoe, the Prism (the Canak is 6” shorter, shallower, and has a lower sliding seat than Prism). At 16’ it is designed for average or larger sized loads.

Its low profile resists the wind better than just about any canoe on the water. The Wenonah Canak 16' is great for solo lake camping and for down-river tripping when the capacity and portability of a canoe are needed and the touring ability of a kayak is desired. It is not only fast but is also stable for fishing and for photography. The one of a kind bow and stern storage compartments (see pics) are spacious and more accessible than standard kayak hatches for easy loading and unloading of canoe camping sized packs (rectangular packs up to 5500 cubes fit in the bow and 7000 cubes fit in the stern). The slip over covers provide a dry ride no matter the weather conditions.

The bow hatch makes a great compartment for your four-legged friend. End tanks for additional storage. The floor mounted sliding seat and adjustable kayak style foot braces make this boat easy to trim and as comfortable as any large cockpit kayak. Green deck. Spray tray accessory option.

This is no ordinary Canak 16'. For additional strength and durability, Dave Curtis of Hemlock Canoe Works added an outer layer of high strength, military grade Structural Fiberglass (S2-glass) to the Ultra-light Kevlar skin coat (adds 3-4 lbs.
