Wenonah Prospector 16 Foot (Approx) Canoe.

This is a beautiful boat, a real classic design. It has taken me and my wife and copious amounts of kit on some memorable journeys. It is stable, tracks well and is very manoeuvrable. It’s a sheer joy to paddle. The red colour makes it stand out in photos as well.

I’m selling it as I’m spending so much time in racing kayaks (wobbly boats that go fast in a straight line) that I simply do not have the time to paddle it and I need the space in the garage. It is suitable for use on moving water but I haven’t tested it on anything bigger than Grade 2. It has two air bags fitted for moving water use. There is ample room for a child’s seat to be fitted (not supplied) and if you want to go solo, it has a kneeling thwart fitted and is easy to handle in competent hands. It is constructed from royalex so light-weight compared to many canoes of this size.

Useful when it comes to portages and putting it on the car roof. The boat has been well looked-after but has the usual scratches that any boat acquires as soon as you take it on the water. Pick up only due to size. Cash or bank transfer preferred.
