Wood/canvas Canoe, Maine Journeys. Dave Mussey Made. Wcha Listed Maker.

Bought this canoe at a farm sale. It's a 14' canvas over wood canoe built in the traditional style (e.g. Old Town) and made by Dave Mussey of Maine Journeys Canoes of Glenburn, Maine. He is listed on the WCHA web site. Its probably 15 -20 years old judging by the usage wear.

Full and 1/2 rib construction, two seats, full stem. Condition is excellent for a vintage canoe. A few minor scrapes in the paint and one that is about 3" long that carried down to the canvas but not through it. The canoe has a second paint job that is very attractive - forest green over a white bottom with a dark red 3/4" stripe that runs between the two colors.. Structurally sound and ready for the water. This is a really nice size as it weighs a lot less than a comparable 16 footer.

A new canoe like this would probably run you about $3,500.00 - $4500.00. This is a great find at a great price. . Guaranteed as described. I will answer your questions asap. Delivery can be discussed.
