Wooden Canadian Canoe Lakota 17

Built by John Clohesy at http://www.birchcanoes.com/canoes.html The Lakota 17 (17 feet long) has been a very reliable and easy-to-use canoe. Dry stored since it was made 10years ago. Only light use and never roof racked or trailered since arrival. It has a sturdy outboard bracket in case you want to fit a motor, we used an electric Torqeedo travel 801 which may be purchased separately from us but I think the bracket would take a small petrol motor if you prefer. The canoe will seat 3 or 4 people depending on weight and size, easily 2 adults 2 small children and a dog.

Solo paddling is also possible but in calm water. 2 people can carry the canoe or there is a trolley included which makes it possible to move on your own but there is a knack to it. The paddle included is nice and strong and there are two kiddie paddles included but not pictured. Would benefit from a coat of varnish to cover the scratch on the bottom but is use able as is. Located very close to the Thames so more than happy for you to come and see it afloat.
