17' Old Town Canoe Aa Grade Wood & Canvas Orange Mahogany Trim Hw Model

Beautiful vintage canoe with sleek lines! Old Town Canoe with original orange paint. HW model 17' so it's roomy - wide & deep. One of the steadied & safest canoes Old Town builds. Wood and canvas.

AA Grade - mahogany trimmed - a sign of one if the very best they produced. Planking & ribs were selected of uniform color & without any imperfections. AA Grade means the highest quality of materials & expert craftsmanship. See last pix for more info on AA Grade. Built in 1930, varnished in 1931 and sent to the J.L.

Hudson Co in Detroit Michigan. One owner - my family. Last in the water about 10 years ago. Since then has been stored indoors hanging from the barn rafters. No signs of stress.

Has one small dig (see photos) but it's not a hole. Shows age & paint is crackling but not bad for its age! We have the original receipt somewhere but currently can't find it. When we do it will be sent on to the new owner. I believe it was $80 originally.

See the build sheet we acquired from Old Town for details. Own a piece of history! Having a hard time parting with it but I'm not going to use it & it needs a home where it's cherished.
