17’ Old Town Canoe Wood & Canvas

This is a canoe that we have had in the family since 1972. We had it restored in the early 80's and enjoyed it for decades. Always stored inside. Super fast on the water and flexible over waves. It's a 1917 Old Town Canvas/wood canoe 17' in length.

Three families on our lake all purchased same canoes one day from an Old Town canoe dealer. We used to race them on the lake. Because it was stored in a shed for 10 years without use, the canvas cracked in one spot and deteriorated at the top in the nose and tail. The inside wood and seats are still near perfect. Canoe needs a new canvas or could be patched or repaired by someone handy.
