Canadian Canoe Old Town Discovery 158. Condition is "Used", she has scratches underneath from beach and shore landings. No holes or repairs mind, just the ususal scuffs. There are no hull deformations either as its always been stored inside a material sling from my celing. This is my favourite canoe of all the ones I have owned, easy to handle on your own,handles well, well made, can carry a very large payload of fits on a small car (ok it does look a bit comedy but nobody needs a 4x4 these days).

It is the SuperLink3 3-layer model, meaning it has inbuilt additional bouyancy and reduced weight plus acoutic baffling, I have added closed cell foam matting to the entire boat, boded the entire length to save my knees and everyone elses plus provide some heat and sound insulation (plus it looks trick and doesn't move around). I have added a tie down rope either end which i use to secure to a towing eye at the front and the rear of my car, makes the carying very sable, never had an issue, actually carries and loads better on this car rather than my old pickup truck. It comes with 2 seats as is but was offered when new with the option of 3 although I have had 2 extra clip in gunwhale seats in this and carried 4 people (3 adults, one child and gear for a stay over without issue) I have also lashed two of these together down the River Wye for a brilliantly stable catamaran and very nice change of paddling experience it was (there was talks of adding a sail and a deck but lets not get carried away here.) It will also come with a 2 wheeld trolley to make portaging easier. This has been used on many a lake, loch, sea loch, river, canal and meres throughout the Uk faultlessly. The boat will come with the airbags (x2), paddles (x2) all the lacing (6mm climbing rope, refreshed last summer plus rubber grommets to prevent chaffing) and lashing (12mm OD transparent reinforced tube, new summer 2020) plus grab handles either end (14mm climbing rope, new summer 2020) and the 10mm black elastic woven front to back either side for increaded lashing options for those longer trips (renewed January 2021). These are great boats for a big adventure as well as a pootle around on your favourite canal. This one has 2 moulded seats, I was going to eventually replace but never got aound to it as they are very comfy (traditionalists will maybe want the wooden ones but these dont rot so each to their own). Reason for selling... i have a major ankle operation booked in 2 weeks that will put me out of action for over a year so I may as well let another family have the memories.
