This is an Old Town Discovery 158 canadian canoe. It is an excellent all round boat for beginners, families and expeditioning. Stable and directional. Old Town is a highly reputed brand. Outfitting :- airbags front and rear gear loops running the length of the boat on both sides, consisting of cord with plastic tube, enabling the airbags and other gear to be securely fastenedbungee cord on one side for sponge etc.rope loops tight fitted for safety, and grab tape, both front and rearkneeling pads to rear 3 paddles.

2 are plastic with alloy shafts lengths 146cm and 138cm; the other is a child's wooden paddle, length 122cm. Condition is good but used, with the usual scratches and dints associated with use including moving water, and with launching. Please examine photos which show this. The thwart and yoke show blackening at the ends - I removed both and treated thoroughly with wood hardener/preservative. There is also the maker's plaque, shown in the picture of the paddles, which has come off and would need re-riveting if you want it on the boat.

Age approx 15 years, used locally on canals and G2 white water. Collection only - located approx 12 minutes from M1 J26
