Rebuilt vintage 1928-1929 wood canoe (see the copy of the original record card). - New wood gunwales and woven seats, short interior ply sole for extra support and ease of boarding. The exterior has an epoxy with glass sheathing for structural advantage and abrasion resistance. New epoxy fastened wood keel. The canoe was last used on a local river with two large adults and gear. This classic is ready to be put into the water upon purchase. Many years of enjoyable canoeing await you with this beauty!

Originally built in 1928 and completed in 1929 the record card shows the craft was sold to the Boston YMCA. This 18 foot wood canoe has the uniquely shaped curved ends of the highly desired Old Town Guide model. The canoe is ready for the water on day 1. After many years of use and lying in storage, the boat has been lovingly restored for aquatic use on a lazy river or scenic lake.The interior ribs and wood sheathing have an enhanced oil finish. The outside has a modern-day, thin epoxy reinforced glass layer, and a new keel, that provide structural integrity and resistance to abrasion.

Its authentic look will turn heads of viewers who watch you canoeing or fishing on your own Golden Pond. This is a very beautiful craft that could also be admired in a commercial display. New epoxy fastened wood gunwales give the boat a very handsome sheer line that compliments the overall beauty of this craft.See the attached documentation for a copy of the original record card.
