Description 1940's Old Town 16' Wood/canvas canoe. Serial # 141416. Pickup only, Romeo, Michigan. Canoe is for sale locally however once bidding starts I will not have it for sale locally. I don't know a lot about vintage canoe's but I will share what I do know about this one.

It was purchased in the mid 40's by an old friend of mine. Mr. Passed away, then Mrs. Passed away, Their sons asked me to sell the canoe for them. I believe they used it a few times but then hung it upside down in their garage until last month. So it is a one owner vintage canoe that has no damage whatsoever that I can see.

I have taken photo's of everything I think a purchaser would want to see, but if there is anything else I would be glad to take more photo's. The condition of this boat amazes me. . I don't go canoeing, however If I had a cottage up north it would already be hanging from a ceiling. It's gorgeous. ConditionThe graphics are not perfect, but in very good condition.

It could use washing of course, but I think it's as close to the day it was made as any I've seen. classifieds board rule is you must use their drop down "Condition" choices, but this canoe was never a model or on the floor.
