Featured Refinements: Wood Canoe
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and professionally-restored 16' wood-and-canvas Old Town Otca canoe, c. 1920s. FANTASTIC! It's been in the water only once since its restoration a year ago and has been stored inside and under cover. The exterior is canvas (not fiberglass). The exact age of the canoe is unknown but is believed to be ~1923; the stems that originally had the serial numbers were replaced during a restoration in the 1980s so the numbers are gone and I don't know what they were; however, the gentleman who did the restoration on the canoe back in the 1980s and then again a year ago recalled looking them up with Old Town and was able to ascertain the age of the canoe back then.
So the stated age of the canoe is based on his recollection from the 1980s restoration. The backs of the two seats can come off, if desired. Color of paint: Red mahogany; a few surficial scrapes/scratches on the bottom have been touched up.
